Baa Atoll is a scenic Maldivian atoll known for coral reefs, tropical islands and rich marine life. It includes the UNESCO-listed Baa Atoll Biosphere Reserve, and travellers visit the area for snorkelling, diving, manta ray encounters and quiet resort stays surrounded by the Indian Ocean. Dharavandhoo is one of the main local hubs in the atoll, while Hanifaru Bay is internationally known for seasonal manta ray activity. The surrounding islands, reefs and sandbanks allow visitors to combine resort stays with diving, snorkelling, dolphin cruises and excursions through the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.
