Sri Lanka’s Eastern Province is known for long beaches, lagoons, cultural diversity and a relaxed coastal atmosphere. Key destinations include Trincomalee, Nilaveli, Pasikudah, Batticaloa and Arugam Bay, with seasonal opportunities for swimming, surfing, snorkelling, whale watching and wildlife excursions. The province stretches from Trincomalee and Nilaveli in the north through Batticaloa and Pasikudah to Arugam Bay in the south.
