Nilaveli is a peaceful beach destination north of Trincomalee, known for its long stretch of pale sand and clear seasonal waters. It is a popular base for swimming, snorkelling and boat trips toward Pigeon Island, while its relaxed atmosphere suits travellers looking for a quieter east-coast beach stay.
