Mirissa is a popular beach town on Sri Lanka’s south coast, known for its curved bay, relaxed atmosphere and whale-watching excursions. Visitors can enjoy swimming, surfing, seafood, coastal viewpoints and easy trips to nearby Weligama, Matara and Galle. Weligama is only a short distance away and provides additional surfing and beach options, while Matara lies further east. Around Mirissa itself, Coconut Tree Hill, Parrot Rock and the harbour area are popular stops, and the town can be combined easily with Galle and other south-coast beaches.
