Kandy is Sri Lanka’s cultural capital in the central hills and home to the sacred Temple of the Tooth. The city combines Buddhist heritage, a lakeside setting, traditional culture and easy access to botanical gardens and hill-country scenery, making it an essential stop on many Sri Lanka tours.
